About Brittney...

Brittney has been a competitive tennis player all her life. She was nationally ranked all of her junior career and got an athletic scholarship to play Division I tennis at Wofford College in Spartanburg South Carolina. Tennis being such a big part of her life, she knew she wanted to continue to be a part of the sports world.
At the age of 18 in her first year of college, Brittney decided to start pursuing her dream of being a sports broadcaster. She approached the director of media at the college and asked if there was a broadcast outlet for her to start testing the waters in this field. Brittney was given the opportunity to interview coaches and players before, during, and after games for the college’s broadcast platform “Terrier Vision”. Throughout Brittney’s years doing Terrier Vision, she has covered women’s volleyball, women’s lacrosse, baseball, women’s basketball, and men’s basketball.
Brittney started to prove herself and midway through her freshman year swapped the Wofford Terriers mic for an ESPN mic. Her first debut on live stream was for ESPN3 where she would interview a player from either the men or women’s basketball team for the halftime show. Brittney fell in love with this segment because besides sports, she loves to get a good story. The ESPN halftime interviews focused on who the player was rather than stats and athletic ability.
At the end of Brittney’s Sophomore year, she was asked by the school to co-host the “Bosscars” with former NASCAR reporter Jim Noble. Brittney’s quit-witted and fast thinking allowed her to jump around the crowd and interview athletes about their past season. Brittney also covered the best season Wofford Men’s basketball has ever had with a perfect 21-0 record in conference play and then getting to the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament.
During Brittney’s junior year of college, she was given the opportunity to go live on EPSN+ and be the sideline reporter for both the men and women’s basketball teams. Brittney wrote and reported all of her own questions while working with team Jim Noble and Thomas Henson.
Brittney graduated from Wofford with a BA degree in English with a concentration in Film and Digital Media.
Brittney is now a graduate student at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut pursuing a MS in Sports Journalism.
